Bryan Lee Cranston is a North-American actor, a voice actor, screenwriter, producer and director famous for his role as Hal Wilkerson in the TV-show ‘Malcom in the Middle’ (Fox) and his role as Walter White in ‘Breaking Bad’ (AMC).

Bryan Cranston was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 7, 1956. He is the son of former boxer Joe Cranston and radio actress Audrey Peggy Sell. He has an older brother (Kyle) and a younger sister (Amy). He began his career in local and regional theatres around Los Angeles. Cranston worked regularly in TV commercials in the 80s (Lay’s, Honda Accord) and voiced anime series using the pseudonym Lee Stone.

Prior to his ‘Malcom’ success, he took part in the show ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ (HBO, 1998, 2 episodes) and in the movie ‘That Thing You Do!’ (1996). He had a supporting role in ‘Seinfield’ (1994-97, 5 episodes). He portrayed Doctor Whatley, Seinfield’s dentista. Afterwards, he has had roles in the comedy ‘The King of Queens’ (1999-2001, 4 episodes) and the hit series ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (2006-20013, 3 episodes). On air from 2000, to 2006, he appeared on all the 151 episodes, directing 7 of them.

Finally, it is his role as Walter Hartwell White, leading character on ‘Breaking Bad’, the one that has elevated him to the top. After keeping company to his brother-in-law in an antidrug raid, he discovers the prosecuted man is an ex-student of his and so White suggests an alliance until getting the money he estimates his family needs. This role has earned him the Emmy for Best Drama Actor in a Leading Role (2008, 2009, 2010, 2014), the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role (2013, 2014) and the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series (2014).
