Carlos Alberto Vives Restrepo, better known as Carlos Vives, is a singer, actor and Colombian composer.
Carlos Alberto Vives Restrepo, Carlos Vives, born in Santa Marta, Magdalena (Colombia), on 7 August 1961. He is recognized in Latin America and elsewhere to merge Colombian music like vallenato and cumbia with pop and rock. He has more than 9 Grammy Awards, the prize Waves (obtained in Barcelona, Spain) and has twice won the Amigo Award, awarded by the Principality of Asturias (Spain).
Julian was in 1982 in the Colombian soap opera ‘The Lost Time’, becoming known nationally. That same year she starred in the miniseries ‘David Copperfield’, in which she played the protagonist. In 83 he participated in the children’s series ‘Little Giants’, invited by the director Tony Navia. The following year she starred in the telenovela ‘Pharaoh’ and in 1985, ‘Yours is my heart’. His more recent # 1 is “love note”, collaboration with Daddy Yankee and Wisin the tenth # 1 of his career.
Vives has been committed to children and society artist was Ambassador of Goodwill of UNICEF, participated in the concert Peace Without Borders and was invited to the Promise Mission Continued from the US Navy in 2012.
