Chrissy Teigen is an American model.
Christine Diane Teigen was born in Delta, Utah on November 30, 1985. Her mother is from Thailand and her dad is of Norwegian ancestry. She spent much of her upbringing in Seattle, Washington.
At the age of 18, Chrissy was scouted at a surf shop in California and from there went on to do several catalog shoots. In 2006 she met her future husband John Legend, on the set of his music video for his song, “Stereo.” The two later dated and eventually married. Three years later, Chrissy landed “Rookie of the Year” for Sports Illustrated and later was on the cover with models, Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge. In 2010 she landed the role as a host on EXTRA and in 2013 hosted the VH-1 reality show, Model Employee. She continued her venture into the TV world as a commentator on Lip Sync Battle with host LL Cool J. Meanwhile, she also took on the job as a host for Tyra Bank’s FabLife.
Chrissy has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Italian Vogue. She started her own blog, So Delishious where she shares recipes and her thoughts on food. This helped her lad her own special on the Cooking Channel called, “Cookies and Cocktails.” She is also known for her social media following and has gained a reputation for her quirky and fun posts.
In 2011, Chrissy was engaged to John Legend and they married in September 2013 in Lake Cuomo, Italy. Chrissy opened up on the FabLife about her fertility struggles. Yet, in 2015 the couple announced they were pregnant and on April 14, 2016 they welcomed their first child, Luna Simone.
