Anicy Manugian is a Chilean clothing brand specialized in ready-to-wear and handmade products using natural fibers.
The Chilean designer Claudia Anicy Manuguian has extensive training where Italian design is concerned. She began studying in Santiago and, at age 26, continued studies graduate at the prestigious Marangoni Institute in Milan, Italy, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Fashion Desig, Coordinator of Fashion and Product Manager.
Anicy Claudia worked for the Italian house Marina Spadafora in Milan, where she developed a working single point with a modern design. Later, she became Designer and Product Manager for Paola Frani, focusing on the development, coordination and production of ready-to-wear collections.
Some time later she moved to Turin (Italy) as consultant for Max Mara, Nazarenno Gabrielli and Tombollini Donna. Then she got into the London fashion scene with Vivienne Westwood, where she was inspired by the sophisticated modern and avant-garde designs.
Notably, throughout her career, Claudia Anicy was named one the top three designers in Largo Giovanni I international competition. A competition for talent organized by the magazine Collezioni Donna in which the designer participated representing Chile with its collection of handmade knitted ‘ANICY MANUGUIAN’. This collection shows a modern, innovative and sophisticated design using traditional fibers like wool dyed Alpaca, Baby Alpaca, Pima Cotton, wool and natural cotton and other materials. 2010 participated with the help of Pro Chile, Colombia Moda, with different dyed fibers and application of materials such as copper and crystals imported from Austria.
The designer is also a business consultant seeking practical solutions to problems that may arise in the fashion industry solutions. It is involved actively in projects with the Chilean government to promote exports to Asia, the US and Europe.
